Wood Flooring
What Is The Difference Between LVP & Hardwood?
LVP: Short for "Luxury Vinyl Plank". This is a budget friendly option that is durable, water resistant top to bottom, and is low maintenance. This product can be installed either as a glue down method or used as a floating mechanism. LVP has a mil wear layer on top the protects the decorative print from stains, scratches, and wear, making it a great child and pet friendly option. It is perfect for high traffic, moisture prone areas that make it ideal for bathrooms, laundry rooms, and kitchens.Â

Hardwood: This is the most authentic looking material as it uses real, solid wood planks in various sizes. Real hardwood flooring is durable and offers the most re-sale value. Although, it does require maintenance and is more costly up front. Popular wood species include Oak, Maple, and Hickory. Legacy sells both real hardwood and engineered hardwood flooring, which is a bit more budget friendly, with a slightly different construction than real hardwood.Â
